Our History
SydCo’s journey began in the early 1980s with the vision of three industry professionals—W.A. Haynes, Mike Bearden, and Don Gonzales—who sought to create a superior rotating control device (RCD) for the oilfield industry. Incorporated in 1990 in Oklahoma, we have since grown into a company known for precision-engineered equipment and exceptional customer service.
After Don Gonzales passed away in 2000, his wife, Sydney, took the helm as CEO and President, with their son, Tyler Whitehead, serving as Vice-President. Together, they continue to lead the company with passion, innovation, and a strong commitment to the values that have driven SydCo’s success.
